Dashboard Overview

The AEO/GEO Analytics dashboard is your command center for citation analysis and query discovery. This guide walks you through the main navigation and key pages.

Dashboard Layout

Header Navigation

The top navigation bar provides quick access to all major sections:

Navigation Items:

  • Analytics - View citation data, trends, and insights
  • Generate - Create queries with AI
  • Library - Manage saved query sets
  • Execute - Run queries across LLM providers

Page Structure

Each page follows a consistent layout:

  1. Page Header - Title and description
  2. Action Bar - Primary actions (buttons, filters)
  3. Content Area - Main content (cards, tables, forms)
  4. Info Cards - Contextual help and tips

Main Pages

Analytics Page

URL: /dashboard/analytics

Purpose: Visualize citation patterns and track performance across queries.

Key Sections:

  • Overview Metrics - Total queries, responses, citations
  • Top Cited Domains - Domains ranked by citation count
  • Quick Links - Jump to queries, providers, domain details

Primary Actions:

  • Filter by date range
  • Export data
  • View domain details
  • Compare providers

When to Use:

  • After executing queries, review results here
  • Track citation trends over time
  • Identify top-performing domains
  • Discover citation opportunities

Generate Page

URL: /dashboard/generate

Purpose: Generate realistic consumer queries using Claude AI.

Key Sections:

  • Query Generation Form - Configure generation parameters
  • Generated Results - Preview queries before saving
  • Save Form - Name and tag your query set
  • Info Cards - How query generation works

Primary Actions:

  • Configure industry and focus
  • Select personas and journey stages
  • Generate queries (20-100 at once)
  • Save to library
  • Export as CSV
  • Execute immediately

When to Use:

  • Starting a new research project
  • Need systematic query coverage
  • Testing a new industry or focus area
  • Building query sets for ongoing monitoring

Library Page

URL: /dashboard/library

Purpose: Browse, organize, and manage saved query sets.

Key Sections:

  • Quick Stats - Total sets, queries, industries
  • Query Sets Grid - Card-based view of all sets
  • Filters - Search and filter by industry/tags

Primary Actions:

  • View query set details
  • Execute query set
  • Filter by industry or tag
  • Generate new queries (quick link)

When to Use:

  • Need to re-run previous queries
  • Organize your query collections
  • Find queries by topic or industry
  • Execute saved sets across providers

Execute Page

URL: /dashboard/execute

Purpose: Run queries against multiple LLM providers and collect results.

Key Sections:

  • API Key Status - Shows configured providers
  • Execution Mode - Single vs batch selection
  • Query Input - Text area or loaded from library
  • Provider Selection - Choose which LLMs to use
  • Results - Real-time execution progress and summary
  • Info Cards - Cost estimation, batch tips

Primary Actions:

  • Execute single query
  • Execute batch queries
  • Load from library (via URL parameter)
  • Select providers
  • View real-time progress
  • Navigate to analytics

When to Use:

  • Testing individual queries
  • Running batch queries from library
  • Comparing LLM provider responses
  • Collecting citation data systematically

Common Workflows

Workflow 1: Generate → Save → Execute

  1. Start at Generate page
  2. Configure and generate queries
  3. Click Save to Library
  4. Click Execute button
  5. Review in Analytics

Workflow 2: Library → Execute → Analyze

  1. Start at Library page
  2. Find saved query set
  3. Click Execute button
  4. Queries auto-load in Execute page
  5. Select providers and run
  6. Review in Analytics

Workflow 3: Analytics Deep Dive

  1. Start at Analytics page
  2. Review top domains
  3. Click domain name for details
  4. Explore specific citations
  5. Identify opportunities

Pages show your current location:

Analytics > Providers
Library > Home Improvement - Plumbing DIY

Click any breadcrumb to navigate back.

Quick Actions

From Analytics:

  • Click domain name → Domain detail page
  • Click "Queries" tab → Query history
  • Click "Providers" tab → Provider comparison

From Library:

  • Click query set card → Detail page
  • Click "Execute" button → Execute page (pre-loaded)
  • Click "View Details" → Query table view

From Generate:

  • After generating → "Save to Library" button
  • After saving → "Execute Now" button
  • Before generating → "Use Template" for pre-built queries

Filters:

  • Date range selector

Library Page Features

Quick Stats:

  • Total queries per set

Bulk Actions:

  • Select multiple sets
  • Delete in bulk

Execute Page Features

Cost Estimation:

  • Live cost calculator

  • Total batch estimate

Progress Tracking:

  • Real-time query counter (1/20, 2/20...)
  • Success/failure indicators

Results Summary:

  • Hamburger menu
  • Single column

Dark Mode

The dashboard respects your system preference:

  • Light Mode - Default for most users
  • Dark Mode - Automatically enabled if system uses dark theme

No manual toggle needed - follows OS settings.

Tips for Efficient Navigation

Use Browser Bookmarks

Bookmark frequently used pages:

  • /dashboard/analytics - Daily check
  • /dashboard/execute - Quick testing
  • /dashboard/library - Access saved queries

Open in New Tabs

Right-click links to open in new tab:

  • Domain detail pages
  • Query set details
  • Provider comparisons

This keeps your main view intact while exploring.

Use Back Button

Browser back button works throughout the app:

  • Navigate back from detail pages
  • Return to previous filters
  • Undo navigation mistakes

Leverage URL Parameters

The execute page accepts ?setId=...:

  • Bookmark execute links for common query sets
  • Share links with team members
  • Deep link from external tools
